Meet Our Leadership Team

God has blessed Beacon of Hope with leaders who are committed to faithfully shepherding and serving the church family.

Senior Pastor: Terry Boshart

Senior Pastor: Terry Boshart

Pastor Terry Boshart has been in the ministry for over 25 years. After farming for 25 years, he felt the call to go into the ministry. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. He has experience as a Worship Team Leader, Youth Minister, Associate Pastor and Senior Pastor.

Pastor Terry has a passion for sharing the Gospel, teaching the Bible, and encouraging people in their walk with Christ. His desire is to be used by the Holy Spirit to influence the growth of a congregation by becoming an influence in its own community and the surrounding area. He also desires to see lives changed through the truth of God’s Word and for Beacon of Hope to be a place where people can grow in faith, become part of a church family, and serve others with love.

Pastor Terry is the director of Sports Challenge, which is the church’s main outreach to the community’s children. He leads the Youth Ministry, teaches Sunday School, and leads evangelism classes.

Terry and his wife, Trena, have two grown sons who are both married and live in Colorado and Montana. They enjoy spending time with their family, including their two beautiful granddaughters.

Associate Pastor: Scott Peace

Associate Pastor: Scott Peace

Associate Pastor Scott Peace brings over 38 years of ministry experience in counseling, children’s ministries, and student ministries. He has a passion for helping people grow in their relationship with Christ and has written discipleship materials designed to encourage spiritual growth and biblical living.

Pastor Scott is the founder of Sports Challenge, a ministry that began in Rochester, New York, where weekly attendance once reached over 1,800 children. He is excited to continue that passion for outreach through Beacon of Hope’s Sports Challenge and new boxing ministry, serving 4th graders through adults with mentorship, discipline, and biblical encouragement.

He also looks forward to connecting with families through community outreaches and special events like Kids Night Out throughout the year.

Outside of ministry, Pastor Scott enjoys spending time with his four beautiful grandchildren—one in New York and three in Nebraska.
